Sri L N Agarwal is the Chairman & Managing Director of Suryalakshmi Cotton. He founded the Group in 1962. Over the last five decades he has led the group with the highest degree of righteousness, veracity and responsibility. As a result, the organization has established a formidable reputation as an industry leader in the league of Spinning mills and Original Denim manufacturers (ODM).

An industry veteran and stalwart, Mr. Agarwal’s understanding of cotton and its future trends is well respected among industry peers. His expert viewpoint is widely sought by industry players to understand global cotton price movements, demand supply cycles and future trends.

Under Mr. Agarwal’s dynamic leadership, Suryalakshmi Cotton diversified into spinning and manufacturing fabrics. Initially, the family concern was engaged in cloth trading. Mr. Agarwal’s astute business instincts ensured that the business made the right moves at the right time. Over the years, Suryalakshmi Cotton has invested in accurate backward integration and seamless forward integration strategies to scale up its operations. Technological interventions have been a critical aspect of the Group’s growth. Mr. Agarwal’s approach – a combination of calculated risks, innovation and integration – ensured the organization’s success. Today, the company is a preferred partner for leading global and domestic fast fashion brands.

Mr. Agarwal realizes that the greatest strength of the organization stems from its workforce. According to him, an organization can only progress when its employees prosper individually. Therefore, employee well-being and their families’ welfare are given the highest priority at Suryalakshmi Cotton. In return, the team culture imbibes the tenets of success that Mr. Agarwal advocates – honesty, integrity and hard work.

After leading the company for several years, Mr. Agarwal passed on the MD’s responsibility to his son Paritosh Agarwal. He was mentored meticulously before being appointed in the leadership position. Today Paritosh is supported by an equally competent professional team. Mr. L.N. Agarwal continues to participate in the operations of the company and imparts his invaluable guidance in steering the company’s overall growth and direction.

Sri Paritosh K Agarwal

Managing Director

Sri Paritosh Agarwal is the Managing Director at Suryalakshmi Cotton. With three state-of-the-art manufacturing plants, robust global and domestic sales and marketing set up, Mr. Agarwal leads a workforce of over 5,000 people. Under his leadership, Suryalakshmi Cotton has become a leader in

the premium yarn category and diversified into denim manufacturing and garmenting to cover the entire textile value chain. The company has strengthened its exports by venturing into new geographies, supplying fabrics to over 29 countries across the globe.

After graduating from the University of Nagpur in 1994, Mr. Agarwal joined Suryalakshmi Cotton as a Management Trainee to learn the ropes of the textile industry. Under the guidance and mentorship of the Chairman and founder of the company Mr. L. N. Agarwal, Mr. Agarwal handled various functions of the company including international marketing, domestic sales, production and engineering. With a keen eye on operational efficiency, his strategic insights led the company to set up a coal-based captive power plant in 2012-13 that helped reduce the cost of power and dependence on energy from external sources.

Over the past decade, Mr. Agarwal along with his professional team have worked relentlessly to position Suryalakshmi Cotton as a premium and niche yarn and denim manufacturer for the world’s leading fashion brands. He has travelled extensively to experience front-end design and fashion and customer trends in Europe, Asia and America and understand backend manufacturing best practices.

Sri R. Surender Reddy

Sri R. Surender Reddy has wide experience in business and politics. He was a Member of Parliament for four terms and was also a Member of Legislative Assembly (Andhra Pradesh) for four terms. He was also on the Boards of Andhra Bank and A.P. State Financial Corporation. He has been the Chairman of Hyderabad Race Club for several years and is very well known in corporate circles.

Sri R. Surender Reddy is a Chairman of Hyderabad Race Club and a Nominee Director in HRC Recreation Chambers apart from being a director in Suryalakshmi Cotton Mills Limited

Sri Malapally Chowda Reddy Balaji

Sri M. C. Balaji is a distinguished radiologist with an MBBS degree from Bangalore Medical College (Class of 1992) and an MD in Radiology from Manipal Academy of Higher Education (Class of 1995) where he was awarded a gold medal for his excellence in the field. He is the founding managing partner of Focus Diagnostics in Punjagutta, Hyderabad – a premier diagnostic center specializing in radiology and medical laboratory testing. Under his leadership, Focus Diagnostics has become a leading provider of diagnostic services in Hyderabad, known for its commitment to quality and advanced medical testing.

Dr. M. C. Balaji is a whole-time director in Focus Diagnostic & Healthcare Research Private Limited apart from being a director in Suryalakshmi Cotton Mills Limited.

Venkata Phani Kiran Kumar Immaneni

Sri Venkata Phani Kiran Kumar Immaneniis a seasoned banking professional with over 33 years of experience, including 15 years in China and Hong Kong, with extensive exposure to international banking, business strategy and financial markets.

He served as Chief Executive and Country Head in China/Hong Kong for over 12 years and played a key role in establishing overseas branches of Indian banks, involving regulatory coordination, strategic implementation and stakeholder management.

He possesses rich experience in business development, market expansion, strategic partnerships, client relationship management and operational leadership, with strong expertise in financial planning, regulatory compliance and team management across diverse business environments.

Smt Aruna Prasad

Smt Aruna Prasad, aged 62 years a practising Cost Accountant based in Chennai, has been in the profession for the past three decades. She has wide experience in conducting Cost audit in several industries in private, public and service sectors. She has joined the Company’s Board as a Director liable to retire by rotation from 01/02/2021.

Smt. Aruna Prasad does not hold directorship in any other company except Suryalakshmi Cotton Mills Limited.
